Interiors, decorative arts & lifestyle have been an important strand since my first job, as a reporter, sub- and copy-editor on The Diplomat magazine, for which I wrote and art-directed interiors features on historic ambassadorial residences in London.
With Thames & Hudson Ltd., I edited Alastair Hull and Nicolas Barnard’s book Living with Kilims, and captioned the photography by James Merrel.
I devised, art-directed and wrote interiors features for The Magazine, a leading London property and lifestyle monthly in the 80s and early 90s, edited by Lisa Freedman. Later, I worked as a sub on House & Garden under editor Robert Harling, at Condé Nast.
After moving to France, I translated a monograph on the architecture and interiors of the mansion of the Governor of the National Bank of Belgium in Brussels (Petraco Pandora, 1995), and a series of titles for Flammarion, including:
French Country Style at Home, and French Seaside Style (2010, 2011)

As the (perhaps somewhat unlikely) English voice of Ines de la Fressange, I translated the first edition of her mega best-selling Style Guide, and updated subsequent editions and spin-offs.
